Amber:

Cliff Richard V John Travolta

Controversy surrounded this match as speculation exists as to whether or not John Travolta is an actual Singer or is he an Actor? in which case he would not be eligible to participate in this competition.

A spokes person for the  EBDA Darth Vader stated. "On testing his eligibility he was found to have the presence of large amounts of acting in his blood stream but it was also concluded by the EBDA the governing body of the sport that he also had Cantare in his DNA".

Darth Vader also added that we are an inclusive sport open to all who meet the stringent requirements to compete.

Ginger:

John Travolta wins the toss and serves from the front.

The rallies are long and JT takes an early lead 3-0

Cliff finds his feet and gets onto the score board. 3-1

Both players struggling to get into any Rhythm.

JT forges ahead and is now 7-1 up when Cliff gets a humdinger of a nick to get a second point. The first half ends 9-2 to JT

Amber:

The second half gets underway with Cliff now at the front of the court.

Cliff takes the first 5 points with no response from JT then out of the Blue JT takes a point 5-1.

The rallies are long but played in a staccato style. Then JT plays a boast that goes out, but play continues. Cliff contests the point later after JT wins it. There is a discussion between the players as the referee has not seen the incident and VAR is not working.

Cliff is adamant that the ball was out and turns to Basil in the Gallery who nods in agreement (Tail Swishing)

Eventually JT comes clean and admits the ball was out of bounds.

Cliff goes onto take the second half 9-1 and the match 11-10.

Ginger:

Despite the controversy surrounding JT's eligibility and the point (that was not a point) which would have taken the match to a decider. JT is out of the competition.

Amber:

Hopefully JT takes this all in good sportsmanship and does not attempt to take legal action against the EBDA over whether he is a singer or not?

I guess his complaint may fall on deaf ears.
